BRAND & WEBSITE DESIGN: CARLA DUCA MAKEUP ARTISTRY
I'm very excited to talk about one of my recent branding and website projects I've been working on recently. Like each project I work on, this one was a great experience for me since it was for a great make up artist located in Chicago.
The first step of the process is always to research what the client wants her brand to represent. She made it clear she wanted something elegant but with a bit of creativity. Her client homework showcased a color palette that was soft yet elegant, so my goal was to bring those two elements to her brand and to her website design.
Once I had a clear view of what she had in mind for her new brand design and website, I went in and started working on her inspiration board.
We worked on incorporating neutral colors for softness and a blush color for that feminine touch.
After we had a good idea of the color palette then we moved on to work on her logo concepts. She mentioned she wanted her initials incorporated on her logo so I added a few options with them just to see if she had a preference.
Once we were settled on her logo, then the big part of the project begins!
Like each step of the project, this one was my favorite. You can see how the color palette, the fonts, and the logo come together to represent her brand. Showcasing her work was a big focal point on the site and it makes it clear for clients what her business is about.
You can see the whole website here. Like most of my websites, this one was also design with Squarespace and it will make it easy for her to update and change things around as needed!
